GRACE CHAPTER SYSTEM
Grace Recovery TX has designed a unique program that identifies progression through a system of Chapters. The Chapters build upon each other and are identified as Hope, Courage, Perseverance and Resilience. Progression through each phase is awarded by consideration of Grace membership duration and individual growth.
The Grace Chapters have been created to align with principles that are essential to achieving holistic healing of the mind, body and spirit.
Chapters: Phases of Healing
Hope Chapter – “What if I fail? Oh Darling, but what if you fly?”
Courage Chapter – “Troubles are a blessing. They force you to change, to believe.”
Perseverance Chapter – “Remember, when you forgive, you heal. And when you let go, you grow.”
Resilience Chapter – “A certain darkness is needed to see the stars.”

HOPE CHAPTER
“What if I fail? Oh Darling, but what if you fly?”
Every member is assigned a Personal Recovery Manager to walk beside them through each step of their journey at Grace, and beyond. Women entering into Grace Recovery TX will be greeted by their personal recovery manager, typically upon arrival or after getting settled into their new living space.
Within 72 hours upon admission, new members will go through an in-depth “New Member Welcome Packet” with their Recovery Manager, review house policies and procedures, and discuss the Grace Chapter System and what it means and requires to progress through each Chapter.
New member orientation includes goal-setting, driven by the member herself, for the first 30-days of being a Grace girl! 12-step immersion, time-management, self-care and family are the primary focus during the Chapter of Hope.
At the end of the first 30-day period, members will meet with their Recovery Manager to identify an action plan to transform their life, which will be revisited every 30-days.
Grace Recovery TX is a place that supports continued healing and rebuilding after the residential treatment environment.
The self-awareness, self-reflection and self-efficacy knowledge that is introduced during the Hope Chapter teaches members to exercise choice to start trusting themselves again.

COURAGE CHAPTER
“We become trapped in ‘doing mode’ to avoid the experience of being”
Courage entails the will to move forward in spite of anxiety-producing situations. While on the Chapter of Courage, members will be given the tools necessary to stay present while navigating their new sober life.
Members will receive consistent coaching on self-efficacy, self-care, and time management throughout the program. As the member begins to utilize and cultivate new life skills, deeper 12-step or other recovery work, and service/work/education requirements, they become empowered by the deep sense of community and allies they find at Grace Recovery TX.
Choosing to choose to be a proactive player in their own life while staying present and grounded will be the primary focus while a woman is on the Chapter of Courage.
Everyone has the capacity to practice self-awareness, freedom and responsibility within one’s own world.

PERSEVERANCE CHAPTER
“Remember, when you forgive, you heal. And when you let go, you grow.”
Assuming responsibility is a basic condition for change. To develop a new identity takes grit and strength.
Respecting one’s purpose and cultivating willingness to take risks and live authentically while designing one’s pathway of choice is the focus while on the Chapter of Perseverance.
Grace has paired with two amazing companies, I Choose Bold and Connected Heart.
Through these partnerships, Grace women are given the opportunity to grow personally, spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally and professionally, all while keeping recovery from substance abuse, trauma, and co-occurring mental health conditions at the forefront.
The skills obtained during this chapter, and then practiced for the months to come, are designed to provide the women of Grace confidence to develop their new identity. Women have incredible resilience and intelligence in overcoming their problems once the commitment to do so is made.

RESILIENCE CHAPTER
“A certain darkness is needed to see the stars .”
To be human, is a constant project. After six months at Grace, members will be given the opportunity to practice spiritual principles in everyday life with continued accountability designed to support recovery.
Grace members will be given the tools to master moment-to-moment life skills needed to live full lives as sober women. During the Resilience Phase, members will begin to find meaningful purpose through past hardships, rather than identifying those hardships as defining oneself in old patterns.
The pain from our past experiences cannot be taken away, but love can compensate for the pain. One’s existence is never fixed once and for all. As humans, we are in a constant state of transition, emerging, evolving, and becoming, in response to the tensions, contradictions, and conflicts we face.
In this final chapter of development, Grace members will be given the skills to make sense of their purpose in life, while, of course, keeping their recovery at the forefront. Through self-awareness, freedom, responsibility, and love Grace members are given the choice to take action over inaction.
Upon completion of Grace’s membership, the Grace team will assist in planning the transition to the next Chapter of an independent, substance-free life. Women completing Grace’s full continuum will be encouraged to become active alumni of the Grace community by joining Grace’s outreach efforts to help those who still suffer.
